  • Toshiba has poured water on its EasyGuard laptops and dropped them onto hard surfaces to test their robustness, after research revealed that users want more rugged technology. Around 20 per cent of computers sold in the Middle East are laptops, according to IDC, with sales set to soar from 450,000 in 2004 to 1.3 million by 2009.
