Focus Iraq: Telcos
- Senior Iraqi officials suggest that some of the US-imposed contracts will be reinvestigated for possible corruption once Iraq regains full sovereignty. Former Communications Minister Dr Haider Al Abadi says it will take an estimated US$1.7 billion dollars to rebuild Iraq's communications infrastructure, but only US$600-700 has been secured to date, far short of what is needed.

- According to IDC, the market for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) will grow from US$2.8 billion in 2001 to over US$8.3 billion in 2006 worldwide, at an average annual rate of 24 per cent.
