The 16 satellite channels currently broadcasting from the Jordan Media City will rise to 45 by the end of the year, officials told Jordan Times. JMC is the only production and uplink centre in Amman and was established in 2001 as a private free zone by Sheikh Saleh Kamel's Dallah Media Production Company whose own ART network is its main client.

UK-based WPP Group, which holds extensive interests in Dubai media companies, has won the bidding contest for Grey Global Group, the New York agency that handles Proctor and Gamble and Mars.
