The Daman UAE Value Fund has announced a 0.8 per cent fall in net asset value in the month to end of October. But year-to-date the fund is up 25.82 per cent. Fund managers said last month was one of consolidation in the UAE bourse ahead of the release of quarterly earnings reports.

Emerging market equity funds are on pace this year to exceed the record year for total inflows of USD10.89 billion set in 1996, according to EmergingPortfolio.com. The pace of inflows slowed, however, in the week ending November 12 as these funds absorbed USD104.1 million in assets after averaging about USD590 million per week over the previous four weeks.
