Will Doha be ready for the Asian Games?
- Tickets for the 15th Asian Games in Doha go on sale on May 28th, and a total of 1.4 million tickets will be released through Qatar outlets, the Doha 2006 website, national Olympic committees and appointed ticket agents. The games run across 39 sports over 15 days from December 1st this year.

Qatar keeps its tourism upmarket
- Qatar kept the accent on luxury at the Arabian Travel Market trade show in Dubai this week with the announcement that Ritz-Carlton is to operate the new Sharq Village & Spa in Doha. Qatar Airways also unveiled a mock-up of the First Class lounge on board its new generation of Airbus A340s which start to arrive in July.
