TAV Construction wins Marina 101
- Sheffield Real Estate has awarded to Tepe Akfen (TAV) Construction the contract to build its flagship project, Marina 101, in Dubai Marina. The contract is valued at Dhs1.1bn. The project targets completion by end of 2010.

Sodic posts EGP15m profit in H1
- The Sixth of October for Development and Investment Company (Sodic) has reported a net sales of EGP41.34m and a net profit of EGP15.06m during the first half the year. The growth is attributed to Sodic's strategy in converting approximately 4.8 million sqm. of land into various projects. The period has also witnessed a sale of more than 800 units with a value of EGP2.513bn.

Marina Pinnacle works move up
- Tiger Properties has commenced construction on the 51st floor of the Marina Pinnacle Tower in Dubai Marina, following the completion of 50 floors on schedule. Marina Pinnacle is a 71-storey building which include 4 parking levels, ground level, one fully equipped health and fitness level, 3 services levels and 58 residential levels.

DREI offers new realty courses
- Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI) has launched new graduate programmes in three in-built degrees, including Master of Real Estate Development, Graduate Diploma in Real Estate, and Certificate in Real Estate. DREI's deadline for the submission of applications is 3 October, 2008 for the Master's programme, which is scheduled to begin on 28 October, 2008.

Hamptons opens in Emaar Square
- Hamptons International has launched its new sales office in Emaar Square, the exclusive commercial component of Downtown Burj Dubai. will provide clients and investors with a complete range of sales, lettings, mortgage consultancy and brokerage services. Hamptons Emaar Square office will market Downtown Burj Dubai and Business Bay.

Khoie revises La Hoya plans
- The Khoie Group has announced new planning revisions for the La Hoya Bay project. Design of the site landscaping, retail opportunities and parking allocations are being analyzed, and planning opportunities are being implemented to enhance the common spaces of La Hoya Residence. Interest coming from numerous retailers prompted the developers to do some adjustments to the preliminary underground construction, which is being implemented over the next week. Full construction will then continue uninterrupted.

Simplex wins G-Emporium contract
- GIO Developments has awarded the deal for G-Emporium, GIO's premium development in City of Arabia to Simplex Infrastructures as main contractors. Simplex will build two 280m-high, 45-storey towers, targeting completion in 2010. The contract is worth $360m.

Al Rashed launches Springfield Residences
- Al Rashed REal Estate has announced the launch of its Springfield Residences and Highfield Commercial Towers projects in Ajman's Humaid City development. Valued at a total of Dhs3.6bn, each of the mixed use project will feature four towers. The residential towers will have 25 floors, while each commercial tower will have 45 floors. ACI Real Estate will market the projects.
