The final details of the Snow Park at the Mall of the Emirates have been revealed by Majid Al Futtaim Investments. It will be the largest indoor snow play area in the world, totalling 3,000 sqm, including tobogganing hills, bobsled racing, snowball shooting and skiing.

Majid Al Futtaim has signed a contract with the Bahrain Cinema Company to build a 20-screen megaplex cinema complex in the Bahrain City Centre, the largest in the region. The USD13m complex will occupy 80,000 sqft and is part of Al Futtaim's upcoming Bahrain City Centre mall which is due to open in December 2006.

Miniature submarines could be the chosen method of transport for future residents and tourists to the three Palm island developments. The Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone has set up Palm Submarine, which will build single and double-seater submarines out of facilities at Jebel Ali.

Al Habtoor CEO Khalaf Al Habtoor and his management team have returned from a visit to Beirut to fine tune expansion. Last month its theme park Habtoorland opened 10 minutes from Beirut on a 1m sqft site with a range of rides and attractions as well as a 1600-seat amphitheatre.
