Omantel set to cut tariffs
Oman Telecommunications is preparing to cut the cost of GSM and fixed line phone services, according to Gulf News. Clearance from the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority is now awaited. The move comes as Oman gears up for competition in the telecommunications sector.

Etisalat, four days of cheap calls
Etisalat is offering customers four days of cheap rates on international calls to celebrate the New Year. The offpeak rates took effect from 9pm on New Year's Eve and will remain in place until 7pm on Sunday.
