  • Ski slope to be built on Jebel Hafeet

  • A 3.5km long indoor ski slope is to be built on Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain. The highest mountain in the UAE, much of the ski slope will be built on stilts and encased in a tunnel. It will include a ski jump and the floor will be moveable to provide different ski routes. It will include at least four hotel resorts, with one part way up and one at the top. There will be a golf course with some teeing off points on the mountain side and white water rafting. Plans include making it environmentally friendly, with a solar panel plant providing power and producing the snow. The project is still in the planning stage, with construction due to begin by October, said Tamouh Investments.
