Marking the third annual Public Transport Day, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced it will provide free transport for all holders of the public transport system access cards on November 1, Khaleej Times has reported. The event aims to attract the public and introduce them to the benefits of using public transport, said director of traffic at RTA's Traffic and Roads Agency, Hussain Al Banna. "We have prepared a number of events at the metro stations, Al Seef Road, Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and inside the RTA premises. The RTA has allocated a number of prizes for public quizzes, where winners will be awarded iPads, bikes and Nol cards in addition to a host of prizes that will be distributed free of charge to public transport users."
