OFO says fire-hit factory to be rebuilt within 14 months

Oman Fibre Optic Co (OFO), in which Omantel owns a 40.96% stake, has said its factory in Rusayl Industrial Estate, which was gutted down in a massive fire last Friday, will be rebuilt within the next 14 months, Muscat Daily has reported. "The feasibility and business plan to rebuild the whole new factory is already underway," said Dr Amer al Rawas, CEO of Omantel and the chairman of OFO. "We are expecting that it will take 12-14 months to rebuild the whole factory again."
