OITE announces new dates for Gulf Eco 2013 in January

The Gulf Eco Expo 2013 is all set to take place from 20th -22nd January, 2013 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre as announced by OITE Trade Fairs, under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs.

The Sultanate's most comprehensive environment friendly exhibition aimed at attracting government officials, industry experts, businessmen and companies from various environment conservation and protection sectors will be held under the theme "Clean Energy for Oman".

"Today, caring for the environment is not an issue for academic discussion or a scientific puzzle. It is an urgent call for action to every one of us to save the limited resources we have and use them sparingly to prevent them being lost to us forever" says Ms. Shilpa Ashar, Project Manager, Gulf Eco 2013.

Fostering a Go for the Green outlook, the event will feature technological solutions for industrial waste materials (for oil, gas petrochemicals and manufacturing), technological solutions for medical waste, solutions for biosphere and marine environment, environmental and pollution control devices, advanced warning systems, recycling and reuse systems, solid waste management systems and new technologies and solutions for cleaning and conserving the environment (including air, water and land) in addition to environment consultants and organisation demonstrations encouraging commitment towards environmental and climatic responsibility.

In keeping with the general theme of the exhibition, the Gulf Eco Conference 2013 will also be held alongside the expo on the 21st - 22nd January 2012 at the Golden Tulip Hotel from 8:00 onwards under the theme "Harnessing the potential of Oman's Renewable Energy". Key Speakers will engage attendees in debate and discussion on various topics such as challenges on climate change, technological solutions, financial and investment related issues, policies, regulatory issues etc. The Conference will be attended by leaders in the environmental sector, businesses, governments, academia, banking, finance and other regional, national and international policy experts.
