OITE Trade Fairs announces dates for GHEDEX, TRAINEX, JOBEX 2013

OITE Trade Fairs is pleased to announce the dates for Oman's exclusive Global Higher Education Exhibition-GHEDEX and the Training and Omanisation Exhibition-TRAINEX and JOBEX, as taking place from 23rd-25th April, 2013 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Manpower.

Having attracted nearly 16,700 visitors this year, GHEDEX 2012 the leading event for higher education in the Sultanate, supported by British Council and AMIDEAST received positive feedback from visitors and local and international exhibitors alike, particularly from new participants who deemed the exhibition to be an ideal opportunity for facilitating interaction with graduate and post graduate students seeking higher education options.

The concept of the Universities Exhibit, which featured leading universities belonging to a particular country being showcased under a separate pavilion, was a phenomenal success with visitors who found the arrangement more structured and one that aided the process of better decision making.

A highlight of the event was a visit conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education to the ministry to brief university representatives about the list of programmes for prospective scholarship students.

Similarly TRAINEX and JOBEX received strong involvement from students, candidates and working professionals seeking to enhance and develop their skills to adapt more readily to a competitive job market.

Overall 97.5 % of the participating exhibitors reported that the event met their expectations while 97% of the same reported interest in participating in GHEDEX, TRAINEX, JOBEX 2013.

"GHEDEX, TRAINEX, JOBEX focuses on the overall development of an individual starting from the educational level to the point where he becomes a working professional. In the light of globalisation, significant changes both in the field of education as well as the job market have taken place in terms of expectations, requirements and developments which leaves individuals with lots of options and most certainly with a lot of questions. We strive to make GHEDEX, TRAINEX, JOBEX 2013 the event that answers all these questions" says Mr. Muktar Mirza, Project Manager.

GHEDEX-the Global Higher Education Exhibition brings students seeking higher education options, internships and career planning programmes in direct contact with local and international colleges and universities offering the same.

TRAINEX- the Training and Omanisation Exhibition invites students and professionals to avail of a wide range of learning resources that will enhance their careers in terms of specialisation, showcased by various training institutes, polytechnics, e-learning and online courses providers from the region and abroad

JOBEX- the Omanisation and Job Opportunities Exhibition presents valuable information, advice and opportunities for candidates interested in career development, considering a change of direction or looking to learn new skills by displaying current and future job opportunities offered by key organisations in the private and public sectors.
