OMA Emirates optimizes card management system for Himalayan Bank Ltd with home-grown NanoSwitch

OMA Emirates-Solution Gulf, a provider of cutting edge technology for the payment industry today announced the completion of NanoSwitch for Himalayan Bank Ltd, a leading primary bank in Nepal.

NanoSwitch, a fully integrated banking Switch and Card Management System (CMS), the solution is capable of managing ATM and POS devices and acts as the central interface for all payment and banking activities.

Built on an open platform, the indigenous NanoSwitch has been carefully developed to be backward compatible with legacy systems deployed by banks. This cutting-edge solution provides the bank with higher customer service levels with a well rounded CMS.

Striving to maintain its position as a market leader in merchant account management, acquiring services and banking card issuance, Himalayan Bank Ltd is set to benefit from all the features of a complete back-office for managing electronic banking, real time application to manage ATM and POS terminals and real-time application to manage authorizations by Visa, MasterCard, and Amex.

The NanoSwitch is built to have a stable interface that enables communication with the information system of the bank and with the CMS that includes both Credit and Debit issuance modules. Being ISO and APACS compliant, the solution meets all the requisite security standards set by Visa and Mastercard. The system supports Visa Base I, Base II and Master Card CIS and MDS processing requirements.
