Oman approves $127.7m plan for new roads

Oman's transport ministry is set to build of a number of roads in Al Wusta governorate, at a cost of OR49.2m ($127.7m), Times of Oman has reported. Among the planned roads are the 17.6km long Road No. 2, a three lane road that connects Duqm Airport to Duqm Port and the dry dock, and the 18.7km Road No. 3, a two lane road that connects Duqm City to the sea coast. Both roads will be built at a total cost of cost OR4.5m and will have 10 roundabouts and a number of culverts at 80 sites to ensure the smooth running of wadi water.
