Oman approves cargo zone in Al Batinah

Oman's Supreme Council for Planning has approved a plan to conduct a social and economic feasibility study to establish a zone for cargo, storage and packaging in South Batinah governorate, Oman Daily Observer has reported. The study aims to identify the activities and the comprehensive land usage for the project, including the setting up of residential and commercial complexes, as well as a multipurpose land transport system which takes into account the zone's vicinity to the planned railway now being designed.
