Oman awards BankDhofar Islamic banking licence

Oman's BankDhofar has said it has obtained an Islamic banking window licence from the country's the central bank, Muscat Daily has reported. The bank's Maisarah Islamic banking window will start offering services at its first two branches in Azaiba in Muscat and Salalah al Wadi in Dhofar. "It is intended that Islamic banking window Maisarah will be open for public from March 20, 2013," the bank said.
