Oman to decide soon on Khazzan, Makarem gas fields

Oman's oil minister Mohammed al Rumhi has said the final decision on the full development of the Khazzan and Makarem gas fields by Oman and British Petroleum (BP) is to be taken in the coming few weeks, Muscat Daily has reported. "Work is quite challenging due to the sheer size of the project. There are a number of issues that needs to be discussed. There are disagreements between both sides, but we are very optimistic on reaching an agreement, hopefully in the coming weeks," said al Rumhi.
