Oman EPC Projects 2012 highlights latest developments for delivering quality and sustainable energy and utilities infrastructure

Oman EPC Projects 2012, the sultanate's first high-level networking event focusing on engineering, procurement and construction projects, has attracted the participation of 20 high-profile speakers and over 80 local and international industry professionals.
Organised by IQPC Middle East and Global Exhibitions & Conferences LLC (GEC), the Oman EPC Projects 2012 addresses the latest trends, opportunities, challenges, strategies and technologies for delivering quality and sustainable energy and utilities infrastructure. The four-day conference includes in-depth case studies, keynote presentations, panel discussions, one-to-one networking opportunities, and interactive workshops to find practical solutions to the most critical issues faced by the industry.
Senior representatives from Omani authorities, international and local EPC contractors and sub contractors, consultants, legal and financial experts, technology and service providers as well as material suppliers are discussing on-going and future EPC projects, exchanging best practices and benchmark solutions available to ensure on-time delivery of cost-effective and quality EPC projects in the sultanate.
Key speakers include: Julian Masters, Engineering Project Delivery Manager, Petroleum Development Oman spoke about the forthcoming EPC projects in PDO and Ali Redha Al Lawati, Engineering Manager, Daleel Petroleum presented a case study on Structuring the EPC contractor financial liability to minimse the risks of delayed project completion. The two day conference featured presentations from industry experts from the Ministry of Oil & Gas, PDO, ORPIC, Daleel Petroleum.
Supported by Oman Society of Contractors, ISQ and PMI, Oman EPC projects 2012 is a four-day event that began on 7 October with a pre-conference workshop day dedicated to Integrating In-Country Value (ICV) programme to develop Omani skill and capabilities; and Managing relationship between EPC projects' stakeholders successfully to ensure win-win partnerships and efficient project delivery.
For the two-day main summit, the topics and presentations covers building Oman's energy and utilities infrastructure; Financing, procurement and regulation of EPC projects; and Project execution, supervision and delivery. Oman EPC projects 2012 will then conclude on October 10 with a series of workshops to be conducted by industry experts.
