Oman to float food stores tender next week

Oman's Public Authority for Stores and Food Reserves (PASFR) is set to float a tender next week for the construction of a major food stores complex at Salalah, in Dhofar governorate, Oman Daily Observer has reported. More than 20 local construction firms have epressed interest to participate in the tender including Al Adrak Trading, Petron Gulf, Teejan Trading, Galfar Engineering & Contracting, National United Engineering, Hamdan Trading Group, Al Hashemi & Al Rawas Trading, Khimji Ramdas, Hasan bin Juma bin Backer, and Modern Construction. The winning bidder will be required to build a complex of three warehouses covering a total area of nearly 10,500 sq m at Raysut. The warehouses will be equipped with air-conditioners, air-curtains and other moisture-control facilities to ensure that stored commodities will be secure from the damp conditions of Salalah.
