Oman Gas Company received great response at the SQU Career Fair 2013

Oman Gas Company (OGC) participated in the Career and Training Opportunities Fair 2013 held during March 11-13 at the Grand Hall of the Cultural Centre in Sultan Qaboos University. The Fair was inaugurated by Sheikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service.

At the three-day event, large number of students and young job-seekers visited the OGC pavilion and acquainted themselves with the employment and training opportunities offered by the Company.

Ahmed Said Al Hinai, Acting HR Manager of OGC, says: "OGC always strives to provide personal development and career enrichment. With this focus in mind, we were informing and guiding students coming to our stall about the rewarding dynamic job and training opportunities that OGC offers. The tremendous response we received from Omani students at our stand demonstrated their drive and passion to do well in their professional life. At the event, we were also recommending job-seekers to update their register with the Ministry of Manpower and visit the OGC website, to know more about our company and key in their details. Careers at OGC are open to all. Right from fresh graduates to professionals with work experience in related fields, we welcome individuals to enhance their careers and grow with the company. As a national company, we are focused on development of national resources, talent, capabilities and competencies and that motivates us to participate in the SQU Career Fair every year."

Since its inception in 2000, OGC has grown in stature and reputation from a gas transportation company into an integrated enterprise harnessing the power of Oman's natural gas transportation.

The company employs more than 307 people, of whom 95 % are Omanis. It is the major gas transportation company in Oman delivering natural gas to main economic sectors and major consumers comprising of Domestic, Power and Desalination plants, Fertilizer, Methanol, Petrochemical, Refinery, Steel and Cement plants. The company is guided by its corporate values and dedication and teamwork of its human resources in charting the way ahead to success.
