Oman inks deal with Intel to promote open source software

Oman's Information Technology Authority (ITA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Intel Corp to support the Open Source Intel Global Challenge in the country, Oman Daily Observer has reported. The two sides are collaboratively working on a national Open Source business plan competition, aimed at encouraging emerging entrepreneurs, university students, and graduates, and reward ideas that have high potential to become a new business.
