The Oman Office Show 2012 gets under way

The Sultanate's keenly anticipated Office Show 2012 was formally unveiled on 10 September, marking the start of an exciting three-day exhibition that showcases commercial designs, office fit-outs, furniture, automation, supplies and office.

His Excellency Khalil bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khonji, Chairman, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), led a host of government dignitaries and private sector personalities at the inauguration of the show at Oman International Exhibition Centre.

The Chief Guest toured the exhibitor stands, and acquainted himself with the significance of the diverse array of office fit-outs, commercial interior designs, and a complete range of office-related products - furniture, equipment, services and solutions that are essential to creating the ideal workplace environment. He also briefly chatted with representatives of various exhibiting companies on the nature of their offerings to the commercial segments of the office development market.

"The importance of trade shows as platforms for mutually fruitful interaction between manufacturers, retailers, traders, service providers, and the consuming public, cannot be emphasized enough. At the OCCI, we recognize the pivotal role of trade shows in showcasing new products, services and trends within a given trade or industry. The Oman Office Show 2012 is of a piece with this philosophy. My warmest congratulations to Global Exhibitions and Conferences (GEC), the organizers of this prestigious trade show, on the excellent attendance from exhibitors they have garnered for this event," said H.E. Al Khonji.

Organised by Global Exhibitions and Conferences LLC, Oman Office Show 2012 is a must-attend event for the architecture and design community. The show brings together some of the world's top names in office design while focusing on expertise, inspiration and collaboration.

The Commercial Fit-Out focus of the exhibition encompasses complete interior, fit-out and refurbishment elements including interior design, architecture, manufacture and supply of innovative materials, fixtures and fittings for the commercial sectors.

"The office environment includes a wide spectrum of products, equipment and services, all showcased under one roof here at the Oman Office Show. Around 100 companies, including prestigious international and regional brands, are participating in Oman Office Show," said C. J. Paul, CEO of Global Exhibitions & Conferences LLC.

Underscoring the importance of Oman Office Show, several prominent organizations are backing the exhibition as sponsors. The list includes Sharikah Fanniyah Omaniyah (SFO), Teejan Furnishing, Multitech Trading; Fahmy Furniture, SITCO and H2O Concepts LLC.

Oman Office Show is open for 3 days during 10 - 12 September. Opening hours for trade visitors and the general public are from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
