Oman oil ministry signs agreement with BP for gas field development

Oman's oil ministry has said an agreement is expected to be signed with British Petroleum (BP) for the development of Khazzan-Makarem gas field by the end of the fourth quarter this year, Muscat Daily has reported. BP will start full-scale development of Khazzan-Makarem field by the end of the third quarter of 2013, said Sheikh Ali bin Thabit al Battashi, adviser to the ministry, adding that the first delivery of gas will be available by the fourth quarter of 2016 or first quarter of 2017.
