Oman to provide citizens with $103.9m in housing loans

Oman's housing ministry has announced the allocation of OR40m ($103.9m) for citizens with limited income as part of the Housing Assistance Programme, Oman Daily Observer has reported. The interest-free loan programme provides assistance to needy Omanis through the loans offered by Oman Housing Bank, said the housing minister, Sheikh Saif al Shabibi. The programme has seen as many as 120,000 applications for land plots submitted, of which 80% were submitted by women, he said.
