Oman road investments to hit OR3bn

The Omani cabinet has said the country's investment for building various road projects is set to climb to OR3bn by the end of 2013, Times of Oman has reported. Currently, there are around 55 projects with a total cost of OR1.5bn, said Eng. Salah bin Khalifah Al Shukhaili, director of design department at the transport and communications ministry. "We are expecting that by the end of 2013, this will go up to almost OR3bn (when the roads under study and design reach tendering and implementation stage)," added Al Shukhaili.
