Oman to tender contracts for new sports complexes

Omani sports affairs ministry is set to float a tender to build new sports complexes in different provinces across the country, Oman Daily Observer has reported. The planned multi-facility complexes include the Khasab Sports Complex, which will include a football stadium with a capacity of up to 12,000 spectators, as well other sports and service facilities, and Al Rustaq Sports Complex in the governorate of South Al Batinah, which will comprise a football stadium for 17,000 spectators, hockey pitch, a football training ground, two tennis courts and a covered Olympic pool, multi-purpose gymnasium. The tender will also include the Ibra Sports Complex in the governorate of North Al Sharqiyah which will consist of a 12,000 capacity football stadium and sport facilities and services, such as a conference room, fitness halls that will be equipped with TV live broadcast devices, in addition to the management building.
