Oman Visitors launches its Facebook page in Arabic, English, French and German languages

The launch of the Facebook page in different languages aims to serve as a new platform for a two-way communication with the traveller, mainly to target Arab, English, French & German speaking travellers.

With the Facebook page, guests can view the latest news, offers and tourism events in Oman and directly communicate with potential traveller. Oman Visitors expects Facebook pages to bring in more customers as social media is seen as a powerful tool to increase involvement.

This new initiative is part of the efforts to increase the level of engagement, participation and activities with the wider traveller - an important step towards simplifying access and enhancing presence online.

The pages include images, videos and updates of the tourism's news, announcements and promotions. It also features a Twitter & YouTube tab. Users can currently participate in discussions, take polls and ask questions about a range of topics and events related to Sultanate of Oman.

Bader Al Azri, Team Leader said: "Social media channels are allowing us to become increasingly creative and innovative with marketing and communications approach. Also w e know from research that more and more travellers are turning to their social media networks for inspiration to help them plan and get the best out of their holidays."

"Facebook will be a key plank in Oman tourism social media strategy to promote the country's tourism credentials at home and abroad," Al Azri said.
