Medical experts have warned that cases that need ortho attention in Oman are on the rise along with many other countries in the region, Oman Daily Observer has reported. "Omanis are more prone to knee problems. Generally men and women tend to put on weight owing to the eating habits," said Dr A V Gurava Reddy, ortho specialist who visits Badr al Samaa hospital. "But most women put on weight after marriage and men develop ligament problems as most of them are fond of playing football. So, the numbers of ortho cases are a little high in the Sultanate," Dr Reddy said.
