Oman's Assarain forms JV with KONE

Oman's Assarain Group has entered into a joint venture agreement with the world's fourth-largest elevator manufacturer, Kone, Times of Oman has reported. KONE has been operating in the Sultanate as a division of Assarain Enterprise since the 1980s and has captured a strong market share with over 1,000 installations nationwide, Assarain said. The partnership will enable various clients utilise path breaking technology and advancements and help hundreds of customers they serve, said the managing director of Assarain Group, Khalid Said Al Wahaibi. The Finnish firm is supplying MonoSpace and TranSys elevators, TravelMaster and TransitMaster escalators and autowalks for the new Muscat International Airport, said the managing director of Assarain Group, added Al Wahaibi.
