Oman-based Muriya Tourism Development has unveiled plans to build 14 luxury hotels at its Integrated Tourism Complexes (ITCs) currently under development around the sultanate, Oman Observer has reported. The portfolio of mainly five-star properties and high-end resorts will add an estimated 2,800 rooms, as well as around 300 chalets and villas, to Oman's hospitality sector, said the chief executive of Muriya, Chandra Lahiri. "We have about 14 hotels planned across these developments over the next 4-5 years. They are in different stages of development, some are operational, some are nearing completion, and others are on the drawing board," said Lahiri.
