Oman's National Ferries Co (NFC) has conducted a trial run to Bahonar Port in Bandar Abbas, Iran, last Thursday, in an effort to expedite process on the proposed fast ferry link between the two countries, Muscat Daily has reported. NFC said it studied the route, conducted tests to study the depths at the port, and reviewed its facilities such as the arrival and departure terminals, quays and shipping docks. "This trip also served as a pre-feasibility survey to look into all aspects of the ferry link," said Ghazi al Zadjali, head of marketing and communications at NFC.
