Oman's OSC to give subcontracts only to registered SMEs

Oman Society of Contractors (OSC) has said it has made it mandatory for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and subcontractors to register with the OSC, Muscat Daily has reported. The OSC will give a proportion of contracts to only those SMEs and subcontractors who are registered with the society, said OSC chairman, Dr P Mohamed Ali. A delegation of OSC board members will meet the Tender Board chairman on May 1 to discuss the implementation process, he added.
