The BankDhofar Pro-Am Golf Tournament took place at the Muscat Hills Golf & Country Club between November 07 and 08. Audi Oman, represented by Wattayah Motors, was a Gold Sponsor and Audi was the Official Carrier for Oman's golfing elite.
Abdel Karim Awwad, National Sales and Marketing Manager of Audi Oman, said, "The Pro-Am tournament is helping to build a competitive scene and drive the golfing community forward in the Sultanate. Francois van Coppenhagen, a 23-year old PGA Professional from Sahara Kuwait Resort, shot a 2 under par 70 and +7 points in the Modified Stableford to win the BankDhofar Pro-Am and was awarded a cheque at the first professional golf event.
Ahmed Shariefi, General Manager at Audi Oman, handed prizes to the Audi team.
The professionals, who gathered from across the GCC and Scotland, were carried in style, courtesy of Audi. Audi Oman provided shuttles to ensure the attendees experienced the best of German automobile engineering as well as traditional Omani hospitality.

Technology, design and sporting performance are hallmarks of every Audi vehicle and are synonymous with the precision sport of golf. Audi's own amateur golf tournament series, the Audi quattro Cup, was established in 1991. Over one million golfers took part in one of the Audi quattro Cup tournaments during the last 21 years.
