Omantel offers new Nano SIM ahead of the iPhone 5 arrival

Omantel, the pioneer integrated telecom services provider in the Sultanate announced the availability of the new Nano simcards which are deemed essential to use the new smartphone from Apple (iPhone 5).
Commenting on this, Saleem Ahmed Abdullatiff General Manager Marketing at Omantel Consumer Business Unit, "We believe it is essential to ensure our readiness to enable our customers to use this state-of-the-art device ahead of its expected arrival to the domestic market".
"Omantel procured the new Nano sim-cards weeks ahead of the announcement of the launch of iPhone 5 thus ensuring that our customers are able to use iPhone 5 as it reaches the local market. Unlocked iPhone 5 is supported with our 3.5G network and we are currently testing the compatibility of the device with our 4G LTE," Abdullatiff concluded.
Omantel said that Nano simcards are offered at the same cost of regular sim-cards and customers can opt for dual sims (a combination of any two standard sim, micro-sim or nano sim) to swap between devices that support different types of sim-cards when needed.
