Omran achieves 750,000 man-hours without lost time injury at construction site of Oman Convention and Exhibition Center

Omran, the tourism-related development, hospitality management and investment Company, has reached another safety milestone with the completion of 750,000 man-hours without any lost time injury (LTI) at the construction site of the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center.
On the occasion, Eng. Wael bin Ahmed Al Lawati, Omran CEO, said, "This exceptional achievement demonstrates the level of team work demonstrated by each and every one on site to ensuring that the highest standards of occupational health and safety management are implemented. Despite the challenging physical and climatic conditions, they have managed to succeed through concerted efforts."
He added, "At Omran, we are committed to operating with foresight and with a safety conscious mindset. This outstanding milestone gives everyone involved a feeling of great accomplishment, pride and sustained motivation to lead by example as we continue to develop, manage, operate and bring new projects to life."
The Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre is envisioned to become a place for global exchange of ideas, innovations and connections. The project will be a world-class venue within a fully integrated precinct housing four hotels with a total of 1,000 rooms. These facilities will be complemented by a shopping centre and business park all within four kilometers from Muscat International Airport. Eng. Al Lawati explained that the Centre will play an important role in the country's strategy to diversify the economy and build employment opportunities for the Omani people.
