Omran partners with Benyan Musandam to provide building materials for Khasab Hotel Project

Omran, the leading tourism-related development, hospitality management and investment company, recently signed a partnership agreement with Benyan Musandam LLC to supply 7,500 metric tons of ready-mix concrete for the construction of Khasab Hotel project currently underway in the Governorate of Musandam. This comes in line with the company's mission to deliver long-term benefits to the local supply chain and the national economy.

On the occasion, Eng. Nasser bin Saif Al Maqbali, Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Omran stated, "Our goal right from the very beginning has been to create unique and attractive tourist destinations across the Sultanate and improve the country's local supply chain through identifying opportunities that ensure economic return to communities in all our projects. Such partnerships support small and medium sized businesses in different industries and reinforce the journey of prosperity and sustainable development in Oman."

Jaber Bin Ahmed Al-Shehi, Founder of Benyan Musandam LLC expressed, "Our collaboration with Omran has had a great impact on expanding our company's footprint and enhancing the quality of equipment to produce top grade and highly durable concrete that can withstand the humidity, heat and rain of Khasab's changing coastal climate for large-scale developments taking place in the Musandam Governorate. This has been reflected in our ability to double our daily production capacity to reach 100 metric tons and increasing the number of qualified local workforce. Since Benyan Musandam's inception in 2010, our motto has been 'Quality from Start to Finish' and we are proud of this agreement that has unlocked new horizons."

The Khasab Hotel project is strategically located close to the city's centre and Khasab Port which is witnessing unprecedented growth to meet the demand of tourism and economic projects being developed throughout the Governorate. The hotel is expected to become a landmark property that will showcase the rich and unique blend of natural beauty the Musnandam Peninsula enjoys. Omran is dedicating all its resources to completing the different phases of the hotel using locally sourced building materials.

Eng. Maqbali explained that the recent agreement with Benyan Musandam reiterates Omran's commitment to partnering with local contractors and suppliers to support the growing building materials and construction sectors in the Sultanate while bolstering the local supply chain. The company has also utilized the services and expertise of other locally-grown businesses for its different projects including Oman Ceramics to provide all sanitary wares and Al Shams to provide back of house tailing for all hotels to name a few. The company's strategy extends to all Omran projects and another great example is the Alila Jabal Akhdar Resort where the company has partnered with the main contractor Dawood Contracting and Al Jabal Akhdar Integrated Company to supply cement, sand, aggregate, backfilling materials, sewage water disposal, drinking water and waste transportation. Sulaiman Ali Nasser Al Riami, a business owner and resident of the flourishing 'green mountain' has also been appointed to provide meals for more than 400 staff and laborers working on site.
