Optima Hybrid arrives to National Arab Motors

Combining environmentally friendly technology with modern design, the team at Kia Motors Corporation equipped the Optima Hybrid with a Nu 2 MPI Engine that features a power output of 150 PS, in addition to an innovative electric motor that works to significantly boost fuel efficiency. Its advanced braking system turns kinetic energy into electricity when slowing down or coming to a stop, helping recharge the battery and resulting in greater vehicle efficiency. The lithium polymer battery significantly increases the Optima's performance.

The Optima Hybrid boasts electric-powered air conditioning that works even when the gasoline engine is not running, further improving its fuel economy while providing maximum comfort. Optima Hybrid's 6-speed automatic transmission operates in conjunction with a smart gear shift program to ensure optimal fuel efficiency. Its cluster screen features vivid graphics on the center display, and provides a wealth of useful information, indicating whether the car is operating with the electric motor or the gasoline engine, displaying current and average fuel economy, and even offering a readout that depicts green leaves growing as driving habits become more fuel efficient.
