OR20m SME trade fund to be launched by HSBC Oman

HSBC Bank Oman is set to launch an international SME trade fund, committing OR20m to Oman's small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Muscat Daily has reported. The fund is open to new and existing customers with cross-border trading requirements and will have a strong focus on supporting Omani-owned businesses, the lender said. "The dedicated OR20m fund will help SMEs achieve their ambitions and as a result, encourage entrepreneurship, economic growth and increased employment opportunities," said Ewan Stirling, chief executive of HSBC Bank Oman.
