- PRESS RELEASE
Orange Jordan, the sole integrated telecom operator in the Kingdom, solidified its role as a pioneer spearheading the technology revolution, thus announcing the launch of two groundbreaking developments and the iPhone 5 at a conference it hosted for the media at the Sheraton Amman Hotel.
Taking convenience to a further level, the conference also witnessed the launch of Orange Jordan's unique Internet on TV service. The aim of this new feature is to allow for easy access to the Internet at home using the traditional TV screens as opposed to the computer. This service is available to all ADSL subscribers, as it comes within a package including the new device itself, the box, a QWERTY 2.4 G wireless remote keyboard control, and cables.
The conference also featured an announcement of the availability of iPhone 5 handsets via Orange Jordan, thus inviting customers to get their iPhone 5 models through Orange shops starting December 14th.
"We are always committed to shaping telecommunication trends in the market, as we feel it is our responsibility to be the leaders in bringing more convenient and easy to use tools for people to interact," explained Orange Jordan CEO Jean-Francois Thomas. "We launch our services based on the need of the local community, and our equation for success combines accessibility, cost effectiveness, and a response to a pressing need, and in light of the demanding communication needs of the Jordanian market and the modern digital age, we are never complaisant when it comes to introducing all what is new and innovative for our customers."
He further added that the new Internet on TV service makes internet access within easy reach of all family members, and using all TV devices whether old or new. Furthermore, the "No credit beep" service resumes communication between callers at all locations.
Over the years, Orange Jordan spearheaded a long list of firsts, including the first 3G+ network, HD Voice service, and the expansion of Orange Labs, which provide innovative services to 27 countries via Jordan. Its main goal has always been to reshape communication norms by providing clients with cutting edge communication services.
