- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, March 03 - 2013 at 11:23
The global publishing, research and consultancy firm Oxford Business Group (OBG) has put a new team in place to spearhead its forthcoming report on Ras Al Khaimah (RAK).
The appointment marks a promotion with OBG from Project Manager for Thomson who has a background in market research and journalism. She began her career as an Intern at CNN where she carried out research on Wolf Blitzer's programme, The Situation Room.
Also newly promoted, Estévez Gutiérrez moves into his role after a spell as Editorial Associate in Jakarta. Before joining OBG, he worked in the field of web-based visual communication systems, supervising and coordinating newly-devised broadcasting services for a global company in California.
OBG's Regional Director in RAK Jana Treeck said she was delighted to have Thomson and Estévez Gutiérrez on board as OBG begins the groundwork for its new report on the Emirate.
"These are exciting times for Ras Al Khaimah, which has avoided the worst of the global economic situation thanks to its strategic location and successful efforts to expand its industrial and tourism sectors," Treeck said. "I am confident that Taylor and Pablo will make a valuable contribution to our project here as we begin documenting these and other key developments in the Emirate's economy over the next few months."
The Report: Ras Al Khaimah 2013 will mark the culmination of more than six months of on-the-ground research. It will provide information on opportunities for foreign direct investment into RAK's economy and will be a guide to the many facets of the Emirate, including its macroeconomics, infrastructure, banking and sectoral developments. The Report: Ras Al Khaimah 2013 will be available in print form or online.
