Panasonic inks new era in digital imaging; unveils latest line-up of nine cameras and five camcorders

Panasonic, one of the leading electronics manufacturers in the region, has launched a new range of cameras and camcorders which includes nine Lumix DMC camera's namely - TZ40, TZ35, FT25, FT5, LZ30, SZ3, XS1, F5 and FH10, and five Full HD Camcorders namely - X920, V720, V520, V210, and V110.

Fortifying its already robust digital imaging products division Panasonics new digital still cameras are stylish, slim, and compact. The camcorder range incorporates the latest in cutting edge video technology.

Cameras like the Ultra Compact 20x Super Zoom LUMIX TZ40 with Wi-Fi / NFC Technology and GPS featuring 50p (PAL) smooth full-HD video recording is the top camera, whilst the high-end X920, equipped with the New 3MOS System PRO, spearheads the camcorder series.

Commenting on the launch, Hitesh Ojha, Deputy General Manager, Digital Imaging, Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa, said, "The world of digital photography is currently witnessing a manifold change with the latest technologies geared towards simplifying and enhancing user experience. With Panasonic, change, innovation and creativity take centre stage and we strive to give our customers the latest and best products without compromising picture and video quality. Cameras

The LUMIX TZ40 boasts a 24mm ultra wide angle 20x optical zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens and fits in a slim pocket-sized profile. This high performance TZ series has won worldwide popularity for its versatile lens that covers ultra wide to telephoto shooting angles and high quality video recording. Similarly, the latest LZ30 series offers a new shooting style and the camera incorporates a powerful 35x optical zoom (35mm camera equivalent: 25-875 mm) lens with an Optical Image Stabilizer. The 16.1-megapixel high resolution CCD and high performance image processing LSI is ideal for supporting high quality photo and video shooting.

Moving on to the latest Lumix SZ series, the SZ3 features a 25mm Ultra Wide Angle 10x Optical Zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR Lens and offers a 1280x720 24p video recording, with in motion JPEG and zooming facility. On the other hand, the new 16.1-megapixel XS1, integrates a host of creative options making photography more artistic and it comes in a stylish flat body profile with an eye-catching two-colored design. The 24mm wide-angle 5x optical zoom LUMIX lens (equivalent to 24mm to 120mm on a 35mm camera) is equipped for versatile, easy image composition. It also features the world's slimmest body profile- thanks to the Panasonic's advanced optical design and development technology. Last but not the least, the new 16.1-megapixel slim, stylish Lumix FH10, features a 24mm ultra wide angle 5x Zoom Lens, whilst, the new 14.1-megapixel digital compact camera Lumix F5, features a 720p HD Video Recording with Motion Picture Button.

Likewise, the new rugged-design digital compact cameras Lumix FT25 and Lumix FT5 empowers a higher water resistance and rich shooting functions to make photography even more enjoyable. Both of the cameras come with a new Advanced Underwater Mode features like Red Color Reproduction for original natural color of subjects and a Torch Light function, which allow the cameras to serve as a light with built-in LED. Additionally, a variety of shooting mode including Time Lapse Shot, Creative Control, Creative Retouch and Creative Panorama, along with attractive filter effects is added to expand shooting experience.

Camcorders

The new line-up of full HD camcorders are capable of recording high-image-quality and the high-end X920 is equipped with the New 3MOS System PRO. This model uses the BSI (Back Side Illumination) and this enhances the three MOS sensors for excellent shooting performance even in dim lighting conditions. The use of the BSI Sensor also reduces noise to 50% when compared to previous models. The X920 captures and records scenes in high-definition regardless of the shooting scenarios, be it the bright outdoors to dimly lit indoors. Likewise, the V720 is equipped with the New High Sensitivity Sensor and records sharp, high-quality images in both bright and dimly lit places.

On the other hand, the V520, the V210 and the V110 also come with the New BSI Sensor. All models offer significantly improved quality in images shot and recorded under low illumination. The 920/720/520 models are newly provided with Level Shot, which automatically adjusts tilting images, in addition to 5-Axis Correction HYBRID O.I.S., which thoroughly suppresses blurring. They also offer built-in Wi-Fi functions that allow live view control from a Smartphone and enable Real Time Broadcasting to family and friends who live far away.

These models allow users to shoot, play and share images more easily and conveniently. All of the new models also offer new levels of performance and function.
