  • PRESS RELEASE

Parsons is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed the Kafa'at Real Step Training, a project of the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development. The project, which falls under the Foundation's larger Kafa'at Programme, is aimed at unlocking young Emirati talent and developing career pathways to the private sector.

The Kafa'at Real Step Training Project is divided into two parts: Taster Days and Work Experience. Parsons hosted a Taster Day, a one-day orientation, for Emirati job seekers and students, at its main office in Abu Dhabi.

Participants were offered insight into working for Parsons, and they had the opportunity to meet people from several departments and see what their work is like.

The Work Experience portion of the training took place over 5 days at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, where Parsons serves as programme manager for the airport's expansion.

Participants were given specific tasks to experience what it's like to work on a project.

"We enjoyed hosting such high-potential young Emiratis at our company, and we will continue supporting the leadership of the United Arab Emirates in achieving its youth development goals," said Guy Mehula, Parsons MENA+ President.

"We are grateful that partners like Parsons are helping the Emirates Foundation achieve one of its long-term goals to encourage Emirati youth to understand and experience the private sector as a career option through its Kafa'at Real Step Training Project," said Maytha Al Habsi, Emirates Foundation Chief Programmes Officer.

Parsons actively looks for ways to support the Emirati community. In October 2012, the corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) to offer 3-year internships to its top students.
