PDO awards local firms $290m in contracts

Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has announced the signing of oil well servicing contracts with three of its local community contractors (SLCCs), Times of Oman has reported. The agreements include a $110m well intervention services contract covering southern part of PDO concession to Al Sahari Oil Services for ten years, and a $90m hoist service deal covering northern part of PDO concession to Al Shawamikh Oil Services Co for ten years. Another hoist services contract was awarded to Al Baraka Oilfield Services covering the southern part of PDO concession with for ten years, valued at $90m.
