PepsiCo-Jordan partners with Jordan Amateur Boxing Association

PepsiCo-Jordan signed a one-year agreement with the Jordan Amateur Boxing Association (JABA) as part of the Company's interest in supporting sports.
As part of its sponsorship, PepsiCo-Jordan will provide Almatbouli with financial and in-kind support during his participation as Jordan's representative in local and international championships and events.
Among such events are the Asia Amateur Boxing Championship and the World Amateur Boxing Championship slated for 2013.
"Almatbouli is a paragon of ambition and determination, both of which have enabled him to go down in history as first Jordanian boxer to compete at the Olympic Games," said Eng. Hamam.
"We hope by supporting this talented champion that we may help him better hone his skills and achieve new heights of success. In line with our youthful culture and brand identity, we at PepsiCo-Jordan are devoted to encouraging sports in general and Jordanian boxing especially," he added.
In turn, H.E. Khamees stated, "PepsiCo-Jordan's partnership with the Jordan Amateur Boxing Association and its sponsorship of Almatbouli both testify to its recognition of the importance of providing the necessary resources to advancing local sports. Such involvement is paramount to raising the competitive level of our athletes in order to position them on par with international standards. On behalf of the Association, I would like to thank PepsiCo-Jordan for its invaluable contribution. I look forward to furthering our partnership and to witnessing new milestones for Jordan's athletes."
