Petrofac Emirates secures Upper Zakum contract

Petrofac Emirates, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Petroleum and the British oil and gas group, has announced it has been awarded a $3.7bn contract to develop by Zakum Development Co for the Upper Zakum, UZ750 field development in Abu Dhabi, AFP has reported. "The contract is worth approximately $3.7bn and has been secured by Petrofac Emirates in consortium with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co," the company said. Petrofac Emirates' share of the contract is valued at $2.9bn, it added.
