PKF The Consulting House appoints new Business Development Director

PKF-TCH are therefore pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Bott as its new MENA Business Development Director.

Charles is a hotel advisory specialist with more than 2 decades of relevant industry experience; he has extensive knowledge of the hotel markets within the MENA region and has worked on more than 200 hotel, leisure and real estate engagements.

Charles has run his own hotel advisory practice for the last 3 years, prior to which, he held senior positions with 2 of the leading global hotel consultancies in the Gulf, where he has resided for almost 13 years. This followed a decade of senior management experience in the UK in hotel operations and sales and marketing. In addition, Charles enjoyed a 7-year spell in the finance profession in the UK, including 3 years with a former 'Big 6' (now 'Big 4') firm.

His scope of advisory work has included hotel operator search and selection projects, negotiation of hotel management contracts, highest and best-use studies, development consultancy assignments, hotel appraisals, market and financial feasibility projects, site searches, asset management appointments, Owner's Representative roles, operational reviews and other hotel advisory engagements. He has also been appointed by lawyers to act as expert witness at arbitration hearings during disputes between hotel operators and developers.

His diverse client base comprises hotel operators, developers and owners, government departments, private enterprises, individual entrepreneurs, regional Royal Families, Sovereign Wealth Funds, land owners and project management organisations in the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Kenya, Sudan, Mozambique, Libya and other parts of Africa.

Charles lives in Dubai with his wife and 2 young daughters.
