Planet Hospitality opens Ahmedia Heritage Guest House

Arabian Courtyard Hotel and Spa under the management of Planet Hospitality, announced the official opening of Ahmedia Heritage Guest House in the heart of Al Ras, Deira, one of Dubai's historic districts, in view of the company's support of the government's effort to preserve the Emirati culture and traditions by offering heritage destinations.

The opening ceremony was attended by Majid Al Marri, Director, Classification, Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Habib Khan, CEO Planet Hospitality, Planet Group, and key management and staff of Planet Hospitality and Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa.

Ahmedia Heritage Guest House will be promoted as an ideal venue for professional and aspiring artists who want to display and introduce their work to visitors and residents of the UAE.

With a spacious courtyard spreading over three Emirati Houses, the place can accommodate exhibition for art shows, poetry reading sessions, film screening, sculptures, photography, pottery, Carpet & rugs weaving and installations.

Mr. Al Marri said, "We would like to congratulate Planet Hospitality for opening another heritage destination that will serve the increasing number of tourists visiting Dubai who are interested in the Emirati culture and traditions. Dubai is famous for our notable infrastructure but we also receive visitors who want to see the life during the early years of the city. Habib Khan, General Manager, and CEO of Planet Hospitality, said, "We are very proud to announce the opening of Ahmedia Heritage Guest House, an impressive and inviting traditional Emirati guest house that will give tourists and residents a chance to step back in time and celebrate the culture and customs of the UAE. A lot of restoration work was carried out to keep the original framework and design of the houses intact such as the wind towers, the decorations, the arches and the wooden screens so our visitors will be taken back in time the minute they step into the guest house."

Ahmedia Heritage Guest House has 15 spacious bedrooms overlooking the courtyard. All rooms are furnished in traditional theme, air conditioned with en suite bath, satellite television, mini fridge, in-room safe deposit box, coffee & tea making facilities free wi-fi and IDD telephones. A Courtyard Café offers Arabic, Persian, Continental and Indian specialties. A round-the-clock butler service, dining, conference and venues for Exhibition (Art Gallery, Meeting and Trainings, Film Screening, Photography, and Pottery & Installation) facilities at the guest house are also offered.

Located in the heart of Al-Ras Deira Heritage area, Ahmedia Heritage Guest House is adjacent to the Al Ahmadiya School and close to the Spice Market, Dubai Creek and the Gold Souk. Visitors can easily access the place through Public Transport too, as its only 100 meters from Al Ras Metro Station and the water taxi.
