No plans to raise water rates in Jordan

The Jordanian water and irrigation ministry has ruled out plans to increase water rates at present, Jordan Times has reported. The ministry is currently focusing on new projects and investments to reduce water loss, renew networks and reduce energy consumption in order to decrease water costs and improve services, ministry spokesperson Omar Salameh said.
