- PRESS RELEASE
Porsche will raise the bar with not one, but three regional debuts at the forthcoming Qatar Motorshow 2013 taking place from 29th of January till 2nd of February 2013 at the Doha Exhibition Center.
George Wills, Managing Director of Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE, says: "We are giving Porsche aficionados a debut hat trick at this year's Qatar Motorshow. The Cayenne Turbo S, new-generation Cayman and 911 Carrera 4 are prime examples of our commitment to providing our customers with exclusive sports cars that offer maximum driving performance on a day-to day basis. The Qatar Motorshow is a great opportunity for us to showcase these premieres to the public."
The highlight of the line-up will be the Cayenne Turbo S. It is the latest in the Cayenne family, labelled the athlete among all of its siblings. Featuring a 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which produces 550 horsepower, the Cayenne Turbo S is the newest member of the family to raise the automotive bar. Despite its increased output of 50 hp compared to the Cayenne Turbo, the new model has the same fuel consumption rate of 11.5 litre per 100 km.
The third generation Cayman has been completely re-developed. It is lower, longer, and lighter, making it more efficient yet more powerful than ever. The two-seat, mid-engine sports car is available in two classic Porsche versions: the Cayman and the Cayman S. The base model is powered by a 2.7-liter flat six-cylinder engine with 275 hp. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 266 km/h. The 3.4-liter engine of the Cayman S produces 325 hp; the best possible acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h is 4.7 seconds. The S model reaches a top speed of 283 km/h.
As the third regional premiere, the new 911 Carrera 4 will be another main attraction at Porsche's stand. The typical Porsche all-wheel drive with rear-focused layout in this latest 911 interpretation guarantees maximum vehicle dynamics on a wide variety of road surfaces and in all weather conditions. The new all-wheel drive 911 is being launched on the market in four versions - as the 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Carrera 4S and each as Coupé and Cabriolet.
In anticipation of the upcoming motor show, Wills added: "We are especially excited to receive visitor's feedback on our new Cayenne Turbo S. The Cayenne range represents over 60 per cent of our regional sales and we hope that the Turbo S will meet the discerning taste of our customers. Also, the new-generation Cayman is a beautiful mind-engine car. We have already received tremendous feedback from the public and look forward to launching the model in our region."
The Qatar Motorshow, Third International Edition will take place from the 29th of January till 2nd of February 2013 at the Doha Exhibition Centre in Qatar.
